Katie Carter Campbell identifies One Day or Less Mystery Photo The photo is of the children of Avery & Grace Piercy Comments below re: Comments re photo 57840 One day or less Mystery Photo Identify his group On Friday, 28 November 2014, John Campbell sent a picture of a beautiful Adair County family, with this puzzler: *"No, this is not the 'Culhanes' from the Hee Haw television program. This is a family from around 1968 in Adair County around Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Though they live in several different areas of the state of Kentucky now, they did meet at their mother's house for Thanksgiving yesterday. Do you happen to know any of these in the picture? (identification of the baby dolls are not required)" - JOHN CAMPBELL. Answers came throughout the day Friday, with the most complete, the one we'll post to the photo, from Katie Carter Campbell. In order of arrival, here are the answers we received - all of them correct, Katie's is just the one which is complete: Joyce Turner wrote at 11:25amCT: These are the children of Miss Grace Piercy, my late husband's cousins. Just sayin' Todd Reliford wrote at 1:40pmCT, Fri 14 Nov 2014 This would be the Piercy family, don't know mom and dad's name but three of the kids are Janet, Richard and Shirley. Jamey Hayes wrote at 3:31pmCT, I believe the photo is of the Avery Piercy Family/ Katie Carter Campbell wrote at 7:42pmCT" It is no mystery at all if you happen to know the right people, or happen to be a Carter. From left: Danny Piercy, Janet Wilkerson, holding David Piercy; Richard Piercy, Shirley Campbell, and Linda Gillespie holding Nancy Cravens. These are the children of Grace Piercy and the late Avery Piercy. Grace is my father, Stanley Carter's sister. Darrell, Tammy and I shared lots of good times with our first cousins on Taylor Ford Road. Thanks for sharing the photo! Sandy Evert wrote at 9:47pmCT Looks like Chris and Tammy Bennett, children of Donnie and Rosanna Bennett. The other children look like Chris' Aunt Marilyn Turner's children. *For editor's purpose: those in the photographs are from left to right - The children of the late Avery H. Piercy and Nina Grace Carter Piercy (still living and doing well). Danny, Janet, David (in her lap), Richard, Shirley, Linda, and Nancy. - JOHN CAMPBELL. This story was posted on 2014-11-29 06:43:05
