Biggest in KY Veterans Parade for Vietnam vets planned

A parade in Campbellsville, KY, starting at 1pmCT/2pmET, on Sunday, December 14, 2014, honoring veterans of the Vietnam War is planned with the goal of making it the the biggest ever in Kentucky.

All veterans of all wars from all counties in the area are invited to participate, but the focus will be on those veterans who served in Vietnam, a group, which overall, did not return to the heroes welcome given military personnel in other campaigns. Ticker tape will shower the parade as it passes down the main business district.

It will be originate at East Main & Clem Haskins Boulevard at Jackson Towers, 1 Clem Haskins) and proceed west on Main Street, and will turn at Columbia Avenue, by the Big Dog studio, and end at the Civic Center, where a followup will recognize the veterans and refreshments will be served.
