Driver of bus carrying Elliott Co/ FBLA arrested near Springfield

The complaint originated from a student on the bus who called a parent with concerns about the driver. The parent then called Kentucky State Police who notified surrounding agencies.The Anderson County Deputy Sheriff was working at the time of the complaint and was attempting to locate the bus when he found it at the EZ Stop. He did not observe the driver operating the bus. Realizing he was out of his county jurisdiction, he notified KSP. A KSP CVE Officer from the Post 12 Region was the first to arrive at the location prior to Troopers from Post 15. Driver of tour bus arrested after Trooper Chase Willis found her in EZ Stop Store and Restaurant on KY 555. She was subsequently arrested. She was operating a Prevost Tour Bus owned by Miller Transportation and was transporting 41 students and 9 adult chaperones with the Elliott County High School. They were returning home from a Future Business Leaders of America field trip in Louisiana. A replacement driver was sent to the scene. Brown was lodged in the Marion County Jail in Lebanon, KY.

News from Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

SPRINGFIELD, KY - 46-year-old Holly M. Brown of Louisville, KY has been arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Degree, Prescription of Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st Offense and Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree.




Post 15 received a call from an off duty Anderson County Sheriff's Deputy today at approximately 1:26pmCT, Sunday, November 23, 2014.

The Deputy advised that he had followed a charter bus traveling on the Bluegrass Parkway to the EZ Stop Store and Restaurant on KY 555 and suspected that the driver was under the influence. KSP Troopers from Post 12, Frankfort and Post 15, Columbia, KY responded.

Tpr. Chase Willis found Holly M. Brown in the store and she was subsequently arrested as a result of his investigation.

Brown was operating a Prevost Tour Bus owned by Miller Transportation and was transporting 41 students and 9 adult chaperones with the Elliott County High School. They were returning home from a Future Business Leaders of America field trip in Louisiana.

A replacement driver was sent to the scene. Brown was lodged in the Marion County Jail.
