Jimmy G. Robertson, Metcalfe County, KY (d 22 Nov 2014)

He was a highly skilled bricklayer by trade. Most everyone knew him for that. Not so widely known was that he enjoyed making musical instruments and could play just about every kind of musical instrument he had ever seen. (- Geniece Marcum). He was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, the son of the late Theodore and Ella Rhinehart Robertson. His wife, Betty Robertson, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Jimmy G. Robertson age 79 of Edmonton, KY, died Saturday November 22, 2014 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton. KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Monday November 24, 2014, at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Theodore and Ella Rhinehart Robertson. He was born September 18, 1935 in Metcalfe County, KY. He died Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, two months, and four days.

He is survived by his wife Betty Robertson of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Steve Albert Robertson of Greensburg, KY

  • One brother: Lyndon Robertson of Bee Springs, KY

  • One sister: Doris Wilson of Jeffersonville, IN

  • Three grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
