JIM: Emphasis on Shopping Locally stressed in 1904

>This story seems to go nicely with the Small Business Saturday concept and with the Chamber's Shop Local emphasis - 29 Nov - 13 Dec 2014, Jim suggests
From JIM

The season of year has arrived when most every body is looking into the show windows. Christmas is approaching and purchasers are looking anxiously for a suitable presents for some friend. Merchants of Columbia are determined to please, and will have on display the nicest lines of holiday goods ever presented to the people of Adair County. Already articles suitable for presents are presented to view, and in a few days the attractiveness at the stores will overshadow all past years. Our merchants have never failed to please, but this season they are going to outdo themselves in the way of selecting Christmas goods for this market. (From the Adair County News, November 16, 1904.)
