Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer ranked No. 3 in national poll Lindsey Wilson is poised to host during the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round next weekend Click on headline for complete story By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer moved up one spot to No. 3 in the final regular-season edition of the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, as announced by the national office on Sunday, November 16, 2014. The Blue Raiders (14-2-2) earned 544 total voting points from the panel of national voters. The slight upward movement in the rankings follows two days after Lindsey Wilson won the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship against St. Catharine (KY) by a 2-1 score on Friday, November 14, 2014. With the conference tournament title victory, the Blue Raiders also received the MSC's automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament. Among the rest of the poll's top-five programs, Rio Grande (OH) is the top-ranked team as it claimed 590 voting points total as well as 19-of-21 first-place votes. Texas at Brownsville earned 571 total voting points as well as the two remaining first-place votes to place in second. Indiana Wesleyan sits at No. 4 with 529 voting points total, and Ashford (IA) rounds out this week's top five with 512 total voting points. The announcement of the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 17, 2014, at 2pmCT through a broadcast event on NAIANetwork.com.
