What next for a lasting memory of the election

2014-11-16 - Intersection of Veterans Bypass, Burkesville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo (c) ColumbiaMagazine.com. It will take a search by JIM or Bobby Morrison's fellow Chancian (What is their official name. Chancite? Chancer? Or "Chanceatonian" as the late Attorney Bobby Hutchison would have called them.) Mike Watson to know when any election memorabilia was as popular with the public as The Big Pencil Dr. Ben Arnold had erected. The Road Art popularity crossed political lines. Mayor-Elect Curtis Hardwick was one of the Big Pencil's biggest fans, even during the election. "It needs to stay," he said. "It draws attention to our community." The preponderanance of opinion seems to favor leaving it up, where it is. But others think there are better locations for it. What's your opinion? - CM (That's Bobby D. Morrison waving from the bucket truck, above.)
