Velma Rachele (Lollar) Cross, Metcalfe Co., KY (1948-2014)

She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Allen County, KY, at the time of her death. She was a nurse and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Metcalfe County High School. She was the daughter of James Sammie and Mable Odell (Humes) Lollar.

Velma Rachele (Lollar) Cross, age 66 of Scottsville, KY, died November 4, 2014 at the Medical Center in Scottsville, KY.

A memorial service was held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, as cremation was chosen. Burial is in the Gee Harvey Cemetery.


Velma Rachele (Lollar) Cross, Metcalfe Co., KY (1948-2014)

She was born June 19, 1948 in Summer Shade, Metcalfe Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late James Sammie and Mable Odell (Humes) Lollar. She died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in Scottsville, Allen County, KY, at the age of 66 years, four months, and 15 days.

She was a nurse and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sisters: Exie Vance and Barbie Lollar of Summer Shade, KY. Linda Arnett of Tompkinsville and Donna (Tom) White of Celina, TN

  • Four brothers: William Lollar, Mitchell (Wanda) Lollar of Summer Shade, KY; Ricky (Joyce) Lollar of Glasgow, KY; and Chris (Cindy) Lollar of Edmonton, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceeded in death by three brothers in laws, Jack Harris, Vechel Vance and Jerry Arnett.

Memorials are suggested to the Gee Harvey cemetery and can be made at the funeral home.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
