Fred Harrison Peavey Jr., age 93, of Summerville, SC formerly of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at Trident Medical Center.

Visitation was held at 10amCT/11amET, Saturday November 8, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral Services were held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday November 8, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Dwight Coffman officiated. Burial was in the Peavey Cemetery.

He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY, Sunday, March 27, 1921. He was the son of the late Fred Harrison Peavey Sr. and Vera Gladys Burchell Peavey. He died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the age of 93 years, seven months, and nine days.

He was the widower of Catherine King Peavey. He was a retired foreman. Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Angela Vanoy of Summerville, SC

  • Two grandchildren

  • Eight great-grandchildren

  • Three great-great-grandchildren

  • One brother: Ralph Peavey of Fairplay, MO
