Farm truck/car collision on US 127 injures auto operator

Chevy PU pulling farm equipment pulls from cornfield into path of 2002 Ford car inside the limits of Casey County, KY

LIBERTY, KY - Tpr. Mike Woodrum is investigating a collision that occurred at 9:49 PM EDT on US 127 in the limits of Liberty, KY. 53-year-old Robert Sheene, of Liberty, was operating a 2008 Chevy pickup and pulling farm equipment. Sheene pulled from a corn field onto US 127 and into the path of a 2002 Ford car operated by 47-year-old Kathy Sutherland, of Hustonville.

Sutherland's vehicle struck the farm equipment. She was wearing her seatbelt but was transported to Casey County Hospital where she was treated and released. Sheene was also belted and not injured. Tpr. Woodrum was assisted at the scene by Casey County Fire, EMS and Rescue.
