In the Race for Mayor of Columbia:
  1. 562 - Curtis HARDWICK - 44.15%
  2. 383 - Ben ARNOLD 30.09%
  3. 328 - June PARSON 25.77%
In the race for Columbia City Council, the unofficial totals are:
  1. 824 - Charles GRIMSLEY - 15.48%
  2. 728 - Craig DEAN - 13.68%
  3. 724 - Ronald P. Butch ROGERS - 13.60%
  4. 678 - Mark HARRIS - 12.74%
  5. 655 - Anthony C. LASLEY - 12.31%
  6. 654 - Linda WAGGENER - 12.29%

  7. 568 - Robert FLOWERS - 10.67%
  8. 491 - Kenneth DULIN - 09.23%
The top six vote totals are winners. The incoming council includes two new members, Mark Harris and Anthony C. Lasley. Robert Flowers, an incumbent ran 7th. June Parson did not seek re-election.

Mark Harris before vote tally with Magistrate (1) Harold Burton

Magistrate Harold Burton (R-District 7) had no worries about his election outside the Adair Annex as tabulation was proceeding in the Annex Basement, nor did sitting Mayor Mark D. Harris, right. Harris' easily won a spot on the six member City Council, with 678 vote, 12.74% of the vote. Along with Craig Lasley, he joins sitting Council Members Charles Grimsley, Craig Dean, Ron Rogers, and Linda Waggener on the six panel legislative body for the City of Columbia. After voting tallied: Felicia Lasley, Fletcher Bell

Felicia Lasley,
was in the Adair County Annex to hear her the news that her husband, Craig Lasley, is a newly elected member of the Columbia City Council. At right, Fletcher Bell was keeping vote totals for Neal Sneed for radio station WAIN. Craig Lasley, who finished just a few votes from a seat on the Council in the 2012 election, moved up to the Number 5 spot this year, to join Craig Dean. Charles Grimsley, Mark D. Harris, Ron Rogers, and Linda Waggener on the Columbia City Council. Former Mayor Curtis Hardwick led the balloting for Mayor of Columbia, a position he has won three times before. - CM
