Vernell Bennett Yates, Green County, KY (1942-2014) She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a resident of Green County at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Clifton Bennett and Nora Bragg Bennett. Her husband of over 16 years, Andrew "Andy" Yates, survives. She leaves three direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Adair County. She was also Manager for the Bella's Smoke Shop. Mrs. Vernell Bennett Yates, 73, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was 73 years, two months, and one day of age. The funeral services for Mrs. Vernell Bennett Yates will be conducted at 11amCT, Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville, Kentucky. Bro. Joseph Wilcoxson will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 12pmCT-8pmCT, Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott funeral Home and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers: Edgar Yates, Derek Yates, Joe Yates, Todd Milby, Jeff Wright, and R.J.
