By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The fifth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team plays No. 2 Ashford (Iowa) in the regular-season finale on Saturday night, November 1, 2014 at 7pmCT at Lindsey Wilson College's Walter S. Reuling Stadium. Having already claimed the outright Mid-South Conference regular-season title, the Blue Raiders (11-2-1) face a Saints team (10-1-4) that is also preparing for postseason competition. In its most-recent action, Lindsey Wilson played on the road and shut out Georgetown (KY) by a 2-0 margin on Oct. 22 for the Blue Raiders' eighth clean sheet this fall. For Lindsey Wilson, Tom Moody is tied for third in goals scored (3), tied for second in shots on-goal (11) and leads the team in assists (6). As a defensive unit, the Blue Raiders have allowed just nine goals in total this season. Opposing Lindsey Wilson is an Ashford team that has been ranked within the top 10 for almost the entire season. The Saints have seven shutouts to their credit this season, including a 5-0 victory against St. Ambrose (Iowa) on Octpber 22, 2014. Ashford's Adam Wood has totaled 11 goals and four assists in 2014, and Casey Culver and Javier Ramirez have seven goals apiece this fall.
