LWC Volleyball hosts Campbellsville at Biggers 30 Oct 2014

Fans are encouraged to attend tonight's match dressed in Halloween costumes

COLUMBIA, KY – The No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team hosts Campbellsville (KY) at 6pmCT on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.



The Blue Raiders (27-2, 11-0 Mid-South Conference) are coming off a 3-0 sweep at No. 16 Georgetown (KY) on Tuesday, October 28. Yennifer Ramirez, Sarah Shilling and Nadelina Nesheva all tallied double-digit kills in the victory.

Lindsey Wilson has now won a program-record 23-straight matches this season, surpassing the previous record of 22 set during the 2012-2013 seasons.

This fall, the Blue Raiders lead all MSC teams with an overall attacking percentage of .292 as well as an average of 13.55 kills per set. Nesheva has a team-best 262 kills and averages 3.16 kills per set, ranking second across the conference this season in that category.

Across the net is a Campbellsville team (6-26, 4-8 MSC) that enters having lost its most-recent match, 3-0, at St. Catharine (KY) on Tuesday, October 28. The Tigers are sixth in the 2014 MSC standings.

For Campbellsville, Jana Kortas is third among conference players this fall with 333 kills as well as an average of 3.08 kills per set.
