Click on headline for complete story By Tyler Scott BEECH MOUNTAIN, NC - The Lindsey Wilson cycling team sits in fifth place with 292 total points after two days of the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. In the men's division one short track cross country event on Friday, Kenny Hall led the Blue Raiders with a fifth-place finish, while Travis Monroe came in 14th and Wyatt Myers placed 41st. On the women's side, Sabrina Bice placed 33rd and Vhasti Schmidt came in 34th. On Friday in the men's division one downhill event, J.D. Swanguen finished second. Jacob Smith placed 17th and Wesley Murphy came in 40th. In the women's downhill race, Schmidt led the team with a fifth-place finish, while Makayla Weist placed 10th. Sabrina Bice and Adrian Sanders finished right behind her placing 11th and 12th, respectively. Brianna Delamare rounded out the squad placing 19th. Saturday featured the men's and women's division one cross country events. Hall led the men's side with a ninth-place finish, while Monroe and Myers rounded out the team with 25th and 34th places, respectively. On the women's side, Paige Sanders was the only competitor for Lindsey Wilson placing 28th. The University of Colorado-Boulder currently leads the field with 513 points and Fort Lewis (CO) is in second with 460 points. Marian (IN) sits in third place with 414 points. Lees-McRae College (NC) has 24 more points than the Blue Raiders sitting in fourth.
