LWC Men's Cross Country wins the Midway College Invitational Next: Blue Raider Men's Cross Country Saturday, November, 8, 2014, Earl Thomas Conley Riverside Park, Washington, OH 45663 By Tyler Scott News from Lindsey Wilson College MIDWAY, KY The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team won the 8K Midway College Invitational placing first out of six total teams with 45 total points and a total team time of 2:25:41.03 in Midway, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 25, 2014 . The win for the Blue Raiders was the first for the men's squad since winning the Berea (KY) College Invitational on September 15, 2007. The Blue Raiders were led by John-Paul Williamson who finished in first with a time of 26:55.90. Garry Korir placed fifth and Greg Smithson finished in sixth. Korir crossed the finish line in a time of 28:38.12, while Smithson seconds later at 28:41.25. Trevor Shearer placed 18th and Cody Hymer came in 19th. Shearer finished in a time of 30:41.01 and Hymer finished in a time of 30:44.75. Hayden Sorrels placed 25th with a time of 31:36.89. Andrew Morgan finished in 27th with a time of 31:49.08, while Brent Will came in 30th with a time of 31:55.68. Marcus Terrell rounded out the squad finishing in a time of 34:57.90 to place 38th. Dylan Cope of Indiana-University East finished in second with a time of 27:46.28 and Kieren Broussard from Kentucky State placed third finishing in a time of 28:10.88. Indiana-University East finished in second place with 47 total points and a time of 2:26:21.45, while Asbury (Ky.) came in third place with 58 total points and a total time of 2:28:27.94. Union (KY) placed fourth with 101 total points and time of 2:37:26.34 and Kentucky State placed fifth with 121 total points and time of 2:43:32.39. Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) rounded out the field placing sixth with 161 points and a time of 2:55:16.60.
