Unemployment Sep 2014: CM 7 area rates down 2 month in row

Adair, Green & Taylor Counties all under 6.0% unemployment for September. All Counties in 7-County CM area show year to year improvement. Adair County same as nation as a whole at 5.7% and BELOW Kentucky average. Taylor and Green even better.

  • Taylor Co. unemployment, down from 7.42%, 2012, to 5.4%, 2014
  • Green Co, unemployment, down from 7.5%, 2013, to 5.5%, 2014
  • Adair Co. unemployment down from 7.7%, 2013, to 5.7%, 2014
  • Metcalfe Co. unemployment, down from 7.9%, 2013, to 5.9%, 2014
  • Casey Co. unemployment, down from 8.2%, 2013, to 6.0%, 2014
  • Cumberland Co. unemployment, down from 9.9%, 2013, to 6.3%, 2014
  • Russell Co. unemployment, down from 9.5%, 2012, to 7.5%, 2014
The U.S. unemployment rate for September 2014 was 5.7%. The rate for the state of Kentucky was 6.0%. The rate for the Lake Cumberland Area Development District rate for September 2014 was 6.6%.
