Chair Challenge now assures over $85,000 for LW scholarhips Original goal for 48-hour fundraising blitz was 250 donors, $50,000. Lindsey Wilson Chairman of the Board Dr. Alan W Parnell has since raised match to $35,000. Deadline for donations is MIDNIGHT TONIGHT, WEDNESDAY 22 OCT 2014. Word from the Hill early this morning was that Chairman Allan W. Parnell's "Chair Challenge" had 425 donors, over $50,000 committed, and hours to go before the deadline at midnight tonight, Wednesday, 22 Oct 2014. Those commitments already assure, with Dr. Parnell's $35,000 match, a total of $85,000 for new scholarships at Lindsey Wilson College. College officials expect the totals to rise statistically after the mail arrives today at noon. They are hearing for graduates and friends from all over the world. "The very first commitment - a significant one - came from China," Duane Bonifer, Director of Public Relations at Lindsey Wilson College said at midmorning. As busy as they are on The Hill this morning we asked for and hope to receive at least one or two more updates before the deadline. Reader comments are welcome, too. Giving $25, $100, $200 dollars or more is a great way for everyone to support this wonderful institution. This story was posted on 2014-10-22 10:48:09
