Log truck overturns, strikes house, closes KY 88 in Green Co., KY

GREENSBURG, KY - (Tue 21 Oct 2014) - Kentucky State Police CVE Division is currently investigating a commercial vehicle collision that occurred just after 10amCT on Monday, 20 Oct 2014. According to the preliminary report, a log truck operated by a Don Wilcox of Rineyville KY was traveling south on KY 88 when he lost control of the vehicle while attempting a right hand turn.



The vehicle left the roadway, overturned and spilled a load of logs onto the roadway; then struck a home. The operator was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries; a passenger, Danny Yoder was treated and released at the scene. The roadway was closed for approx. 5 hours. The collision is being investigated by Sr. Offc. Jason Morris of Post 15, Columbia.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Green County Fire/Ems, and Green County Fire Department.
