Investigation ongoing in early Tue, 7 Oct 2014 fatality crash

First responders responding to single vehicle accident find driver ejected from vehicle. Driver pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation is only by Adair County Sheriff's Office

The Adair County Sheriff's Office, Adair County EMS and members of the Knifley Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Millerfield Road, just before Freeman Coomer Road at around 2:30pmCT, Tuesday morning, 7 Oct 2014.



Upon arrival, responders observed a vehicle off the roadway and one party who had been ejected from the yellow, Ford Ranger.

Billy Grider, 39, of Adair County was pronounced dead at the scene and the Coroner Todd Akin was notified. Grider's family was notified and the investigation is on going.

Deputy Conover is investigating the accident, he was also assisted at the scene by Officer John Dial of Columbia Police Department. --Jared Conover
