COLUMBIA, KY - A total of 15 cyclists from around the country rode through Columbia-Adair County on Sunday. The cyclists were part of the 11th-annual Governor's Autumn Bike Ride Across Kentucky. The four-day, 250-mile ride began Thursday, October 2, 2014, at General Butler State Park and concluded Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Dale Hollow State Park. A total of 27 cyclists from a dozen states began the ride.

On Sunday morning, the remaining GABRAKY cyclists stopped for brunch at the Lindsey Wilson Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center and then toured the E. Fay Jones-designed John B. Begley Chapel. The group was assisted in Adair County by members of the Columbia Rotary Club, including Gerald and Natasha Holt, both of Columbia.

Lindsey Wilson is one of the ride's sponsors, and LWC Dean of Student Chris Schmidt helped organize the event, which raises money for the Grand Theatre of Frankfort and WalkBike Frankfort, a group that helps build bicycle-pedestrian paths in the capital city.
