He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Milton & Lena Mae McIntyre Wheet and the widower of Etha mae Lewis Wheet. He leaves 20 direct living descendants. He attended Hutchison Community Church and was retired from General Motors in Chicago, IL.

Bobby Creal Wheet age 83 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 6:40amET, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Larry Brown. Interment will in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Tuesday, October 7, 2014.



Bobby Creal Wheet, 83, Adair Co. KY (1931-2014)


He was born on January 25, 1931 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Milton & Lena Mae McIntyre Wheet. He died Saturday, October 4, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 83 years, He was preceded in death by his wife Etha Mae Lewis Wheet on December 12, 2011, also preceded in death by one daughter Gloria J. Peters on Nov. 24, 2003, one brother Simpson Wheet; two sisters Rachel Huddleston & Jessie Hill He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Faye Harlan of Morris, IL, and Janice L. Coffey of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Dimple Buck of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Eleven great gandchildren

  • And one great great grandchild

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He attended Hutchison Community Church and was retired from General Motors in Chicago, IL.
