Martha Gaskins, Adair County, KY (1929-2014)

Mrs. Gaskins was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church and was Avon representative for almost 50 years. She was a native of Adair County, KY, formerly resided in Campbellsville, KY at the time of her death. She was the daughter of of the late Ross & Minnie Banks Hubbard. Her husband, Ruben Gaskins, survives. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Martha Gaskins age 85 years of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Meadowview Health & Rehab in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Shaun Caudill and Bro. David Coffey the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, October 3, 2014, at the funeral home.

She was born on Friday, May 4, 1929 in Adair County. She was the daughter of the late Ross & Minnie Banks Hubbard. She died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 85 years, five months, and 18 days.

She is survived by her husband Ruben Gaskins of Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Doug Gaskins & wife Kim of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Alma Keltner of Columbia, KY and Maxine Rowe of Columbia, KY

  • One grandchild: Conner Gaskins

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
