Wet-Dry Petition Turn-in Deadline Today to Organizers; 30 Sep 2014 to Clerk

Additional phone number added if 270-384-1650 is busy: 270-604-1940. Mr. Carter thinks that as many as 30-100 petition sheets need to be turned in today, with possibly 500-1,000 names total still outstanding.

Wayne Armitage writes:
Barbara and I have called many times in the last 2 weeks trying to turn in the petition for the Wet-Dry vote. The number 270-384-1650 only crackles. when I do get an answer machine I leave a message. No one returns a call. I tried to find 105 Richards Lane. I put it in map quest. I drove to where it is suppose to be. The road does not exist. I even turned on mapquest on my phone. Help me turn in the petitions. - Wayne Armitage
Thanks, Wayne Armitage. Mr. Carter, the organizer, asks for calls to be made after sun-up this morning. Mr. Carter expects a major turn-in today and tomorrow to give a cushion to names which will be disqualified for various reasons. But whether the question reaches the ballot may depend on how well supporters do turning in petitions today, Monday, 29 Sep 2014 for Mr. Carter to prepare for filing with the Adair County Court Clerk tomorrow, Tuesday 30 Sep 2014, the drop dead deadline for filing. The correct phone number is 270-384-1650. and Mr. Carter has added one more for today. Richards Lane, Columbia, KY, may or may not be found on all GPS location maps. It has gone by three different names. However, it's easy to find: Take the Russell Springs Highway, KY 80 East from Columbia, approximately 5.25 miles. Richards Lane is on the right, or South, from Columbia, immediately before KY 80 milemarker 17. - CM
