ADAIR Band wins Grand Championship at Nelson Co. ADAIR also receives Distinguished Rating, an honor not given at every Marching Band Contest. Russell County wins Second Place 3A in preliminaries and Best Drum Line 3A, in preliminaries By Shamarie Claiborne News from the Adair Band The ADAIR band won the Grand Championship at the Nelson County Pageant of Bands tonight, Saturday, 27 Sep 2014, at Bardstown, KY, and was rated Distinguished by the Judges. We also won Best Overall Color Guard and Best Overall Visual. In the preliminaries earlier in the day, ADAIR won 1st Place 3A bands and Best Color Guard, 3A bands.
