COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men’s and women’s swimming teams host the inaugural Lindsey Wilson College Fall Frenzy Invitational Friday, 26 Sep 2014, and Saturday, 27 Sep 2014, at the Holloway Center Natatorium, 399 Willliams Street, Columbia, KY.



Lindsey Wilson, Campbellsville (KY), Lindenwood-Belleville (IL), Milligan (TN), St. Catharine (KY) and Bellarmine (KY) are all set to compete in the event. Bellarmine is scheduled to only compete on Saturday.

The meet features 36 events between the men and women. All individual events are in a timed-finals format and each swimmer can compete in up to four individual events and five relays. The top 16 swimmers will earn points for their respective teams.

Luke Royal returns on the men’s side after earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete award honors in 2013 and helping the men’s side to a 12th place finish at the NAIA National Championships. Royal also set a school record in the 50-yard freestyle last season with a time of 22:06.

The women’s team finished 10th at nationals last year led by the eighth place 400-yard medley team of Elena Nikolaeva, Kelsey Marshall, Paige Lewis and Laura Stephenson.

Stephenson was the top individual on the women’s side last year. The Trenton, Ohio native placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly at the national championships and set school records in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley with times of 57.03 and 2:10.90 respectively.
