COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 3-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team tied No. 7 Davenport, 0-0, in double overtime on Saturday night, 20 Sep 2014, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY. The matchup marked the third and final game of this year's Lindsey Wilson Stanno Classic.

The Blue Raiders (3-1-2) finished with a 25-to-2 edge in shots as well as a 10-to-1 advantage in corner kicks over the visiting Panthers (6-1-1). Despite the Lindsey Wilson offensive pressure, the Davenport defense held strong throughout the game.

In the early going, Lindsey Wilson threatened during the 13th minute when Emilia Jonsson fired off a close-range shot that Davenport kicked away for a team save. Later in the match, Anna Vig's shot in the 24th minute was denied by a diving Tara Gessler in goal to keep the Blue Raiders off the scoreboard.

During the 43rd minute, Letesha Cannonier attempted to put the Panthers in the lead as she fired a quick, low shot toward the near post, but Blue Raider goalkeeper Johanna Henriksson pounced on the ball for the save. It would be the Panthers lone shot on goal for the remainder of the night.

During the second half, Davenport's Shameeka Fishley blasted a shot that went wide right of the goal in the 52nd minute. This would end up as the Panthers' last shot of the match.

During the 59th minute, Lindsey Wilson threatened with a pair of headers inside of the six-yard box. Elizabet Madjarac's header bounced off the crossbar, and on the rebound Amanda Kinder had her header stopped by Gessler. Late in the 66th minute after a corner kick by Madjarac, Jonsson drilled a shot that deflected off the crossbar.

Despite claiming a 5-to-1 edge in shots on goal during regulation, the Blue Raiders were held scoreless, forcing the match into overtime.

Lindsey Wilson's best opportunity to score in the pair of 10-minute overtime periods came during the 104th minute. Bettina Brulhart played a corner kick into the box and Michela Bengtsson fielded the ball on the fly with her foot, but Gessler caught her shot for a save.

Jonsson had a team-high seven shots for the Blue Raiders while Vig had six. Fishley and Cannonier each accounted for a single shot for the Panthers.

Henriksson made a single save in goal for Lindsey Wilson on the way to recording her fourth clean sheet this season. Gessler stopped six shots for Davenport.
