Rozala Wheat, 92, of Russell Springs, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral service for Rozala Wheat will be 2pmCT, Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Steve Janes officiating. Burial in the Russell County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11am-2pmCT, Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the funeral home.

She was born July 12, 1922 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Abner & Lorene Hale Fox. She died Friday, September 12, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 92 years, two months.

She was a faithfull member of French Valley United Methodist Church for 79 years and a seamstress.

In adddition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Wheat; two brothers, Otis Fox, Amos Fox; and a sister, Capitola Dunbar.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Janice Carol Keene, Russell Springs, KY

  • A son: Roger (Lana) Wheat, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Jennifer Carol (Victor) Humble, Lexington, KY; Rodney Darrell (Dawn) Wheat, Russell Springs, KY; Richard Darren (Kim) Wheat, Glasgow, KY; and Lori (Bill) Stephenson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five great grandchildren: Jadin Carol Humble, Clarise Wheat, Michaela Stephenson, Jacob Stephenson, and Rebecca Stephenson

  • A sister: Christina Johnson, Russell Springs, KY
