Mrs. Maglene Bean Davidson, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2014)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected family with strong family story in Cumberland, Adair, Russell, and many other South Central Kentucky counties. She waas born in Cumberland County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Paul and Lola Rowe Bean and the widow of Dennie B. Davidson. She leaves 28 direct living descendants. She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, a babysitter, a homemaker and a school cook for 12 years.

Mrs. Maglene Bean Davidson, age 91, of the Little Renox Community in Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at The Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Maglene Bean Davidson will be conducted on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in The Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT on Saturday, September 13, 2014 until the funeral hour on Sunday.



Mrs. Maglene Bean Davidson, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2014)
She was born in the Little Renox Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Friday, January 5, 1923, the daughter of Paul and Lola Rowe Bean. She died in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, Thursday, September 11, 2014, at the age of 91, nine months, and 6 days.

She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, a babysitter, a homemaker and a school cook for 12 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie B. Davidson, whom she married on Saturday, April 6, 1940, her sister, Juanita Smith, her brothers, James "Peaches" Bean, Lloyd Bean and Marshall Bean and a son-in-law, Donald Thomerson.

: She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Dewayne Davidson of Burkesville, Kentucky; Rhonda Thomerson of Columbia, Kentucky; Randall Davidson of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Judy Bryant of Russell Springs, Kentucky; and Roy Davidson of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • Eight grandchildren: David Thomerson, Todd Davidson, Traina Manley, Joey Davidson, Chad Davidson, Jeremy Poland, Lucas Davidson and Bronson Poland

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren: Lucas, Noah and Macey

  • Two great-great-grandchildren
