Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is scheduled to be in Columbia for a brief Meet and Greet at the Jim Blair Center, 801 Hudson Street, at 3:15/3:30pm to 4pmCT, Saturday, September 6, 2014 CM has learned from Democrats Porter Stotts and Adair County Democratic Womens Club President Victoria Pike. The meeting is open to the public. The candidate is fitting the stop into a schedule on her way to another campaign stop in Hart County. Grimes is challenging long time U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell in a race being closely watched nationwide. Most observers view he race a toss-up, with the incumbent senator leading in the polls by an average of about three percent. - CM
