Rainslick Campbellsville Road blamed in part for injury collision

By Ofc. Josh Brockman
Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross

Columbia Police investigate injury collision on Campbellsville Road Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014.

The collision occurred when Emily Moore of Taylor County was traveling north on Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY, operating a 2005 Toyota Corolla, failed to see that a vehicle had stopped in roadway ahead of her awaiting a turn. Due to rain slick roads Moore was unable to bring her vehicle to a safe stop and struck a 1992 Ford Ranger operated by Micah Abbott of Adair County.

Moore was treated on scene by Adair County EMS and transported to Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY. CPD Officer Jamie Cole is continuing the investigation.
