LW Women's Soccer players sweep MSC Player of Week honors Gwendoline Fai and Johanna Henriksson are the Mid-South Conference Players of the Week By Charlie Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, Ky. - Gwendoline Fai and Johanna Henriksson are the Mid-South Conference Players of the Week, conference officials announced, today, Tuesday, Seoptember 2, 2014,The conference award is the first of Fai's career and second for Henriksson. Fai, a freshman from St. Gingolph, Switzerland, scored a goal in Lindsey Wilson's season-opening 4-1 victory over Auburn Montgomery (AL) on August 25. She would go on to score the lone goal in the Blue Raiders' 1-0 win at No. 14 Spring Arbor (MI) on Saturday. Her two goals are the second most in the Mid-South Conference through two weeks of action. Henriksson did not allow a goal in her 169 minutes of action between the pipes last week en route to claiming MSC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Boras, Sweden, native previously earned the distinction last season during the week of November 4. Henriksson is tied for the lead in the Mid-South in both shutouts (1) and goals against average (0.00).
