LWC Women's Cross Country finishes runner-up at Asbury Invitational Campbellsville Univeristy takes third place in Asbury Invitational. Elena Oslund took fourth place, less than 40 seconds behind meet winner By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College WILMORE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team opened their 2014 campaign with a second-place finish at the Asbury Invitational on Saturday, August 30, 2014. The Blue Raiders finished with a team total time of 1:49:49.40, just over three minutes behind event winner Asbury (KY) who won with a time of 1:46:35.60. Elena Oslund recorded her first top-five finish of the season after placing fourth overall with a time of 21:03.1. Maria Cozzens took sixth with a time of 21:27.1 as the only other top-10 Blue Raider finish. Allyson Davis finished just outside of the top 10 in 11th with a time of 22:01.7. Freshmen Mia Cornette took 15th (22:30.6) and Abbie Chandler took 18th (22:46.5) competing in their first-ever collegiate competition. Christiana Thompson and Breana Conway were the final Blue Raiders to score in the event, finishing in 24th and 29th place, respectively. Union's (K) Clara Pierce won the event with a time of 20:25.6. Asbury finished with a team-low 29 points while Lindsey Wilson accumulated 54 points. Campbellsville (KY) took third with 72 points followed by Brescia (KY) with 90 points and Union (KY) with 119.
