Blue Raiders begin five-game stretch against ranked opponents

COLUMBIA, KY - The LWC Blue Raider women's soccer meets Spring Arbor (MI) at 7pmCT/8pmET, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Cougar Soccer Field, 1 2nd Street, Spring Arbor, MI



It marks the first of five-straight ranked opponents the Blue Raiders will face in 2014. Lindsey Wilson (1-0) opened the season last weekend with a 4-1 win at home against Auburn University Montgomery (AL). Anna Vig led the way for the team scoring two goals and recording an assist.
Spring Arbor (2-0) enters the contest coming off a 10-0 victory over Marygrove (MI) College. Abby Fuller leads the team with three goals scored, while Corrie Good and Shannon Balcer each have two goals. Becca Lynn has three assists on the year.

Lindsey Wilson is 7-0-3 all-time against the Cougars with the most recent matchup coming on Aug. 31, 2013 in Spring Arbor, which ended in a 5-2 win for the Blue Raiders. Carola Schneider and Katarina Simic each scored a goal for the team.
