Young earned all-area honors four times while at Danville High School

By Charles Balcom
News from Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA, KY - Former Danville High School and Eastern Kentucky University standout Kasey Young has transferred to Lindsey Wilson, head coach John B. Wethington announced on Friday, August 22, 2014.

Young will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

"Kasey is a great, late addition to the team," Wethington said. "She's a very talented shooter and has the ability to score inside and outside."

Young was part of an Eastern Kentucky team that finished with a 17-13 record in 2013-14, including a 9-7 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Before her one season at Eastern Kentucky, Young attended Danville High School where she earned First Team All-Area honors four times. She was named Co-All Area Player of the Year and earned All-State Honorable Mention honors as a junior. She concluded her playing career at Danville with over 2,000 points.

"She has a great skill set and the ability to score consistently," Wethington said. "Kasey is charismatic and a very likable person and we are excited to see what she can bring to Lindsey Wilson this year."
