Ewell Guy Smith age 75 of Dubre, KY, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Cedar Flat Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmTuesday, August 19, 2014, and after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Hymon and Alma Davis Smith. He was a retired carpenter and member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Danny (Shelly) Smith of Fairplay, MD; David (Debra) Smith of Anderson, Indiana; Frankie Smith of Edmonton, KY; and Anthony (Anna) Smith of Dubre

  • Two daughters: Mary Bryant of Edmonton, KY; and Patricia Smith of Dubre, KY

  • One brother Nile Smith of Dubre, KY; and one sister Christine Danniel of Edmonton, KY

  • Sixteen grandchildren

  • And eleven great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Frances Smith, a brother Richard Smith, and a daughter Cynthia Carol Smith.
