Two more arrested in ongoing Columbia PD drug crackdown

Latest arrests brings total to 26 for the year

Columbia Police Department has arrested an Adair County man and woman for multiple drug trafficking charges this week. this brings the agency's arrest in this year's drug sweep to 26 individuals.

The departments ongoing investigations have resulted in the arrest of:


  • Antoinette Childers age 27, of Adair County, charged with trafficking in a a controled substance 1st degree.

  • David Bennett age 50, of Adair County charged with 3 counts of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree with firearm enhancement, 1 count of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree with firearm enhancement, 1 count of possession of controlled substance 2nd degree firearms enhanced, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Childers and Bennett were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.
