Travel alert: Semi fire blocking I-65 NB Hardin Co., kY

Update: 11:27amCT: Crash is clear and all lanes are open. It will take some time for traffic to congestion to dissipate along the interstate and detour route.
Update 6:08amCT: Left lane is open. Traffic is trickling thru. Another hour to completely open. Backup is to mile 83M/Alt route US 31W still recommended thru morning commute. State Fair Travelers need to be aware

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (received 5:33amCT, Friday, August 15, 2014) - Semi fire at this location. Closure is expected 1-2 hours. Traffic backup is about mile 84 now. Detour US 31W and rejoin I65 in Elizabethtown at exit 91. Traffic volume is heavy. Southbound is not affected at this time. State fair travelers from around the state should be aware of this closure as they head toward Louisville. - Chris Jessie
