Garnett Harold (Chub) Hatfield, Casey Co., KY (1940-2014)

He was a farmer. Chub was a dedicated loving husband, daddy and grandpa. His passion after his family was farming and working with his tractors out in the field and spending time with his dogs. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. His wife of over 54 years, Eula Monday Hatfield, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Garnett Harold "Chub" Hatfield, age 73, of Liberty, KY passed away on Saturday August 9, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, on August 12, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Corey Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery Cemetery.

Garnett Harold "Chub" Hatfield, was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on, Wednesday, December 3, 1940, He was the son of Elmer Hatfield of Liberty and the late Flossie Cain Hatfield. He died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the age of 73 years, eight months, and six days.

He was a farmer. Chub was a dedicated loving husband, daddy and grandpa. His passion after his family was farming and working with his tractors out in the field and spending time with his dogs. Additional survivors include his wife Eula Monday Hatfield, whom he wed on May 21, 1960, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Connie and (Robin) Blair of Columbia, KY; Rhonda and (Jeffrey) Wethington of Liberty, KY; and Regina Hatfield of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Six great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Rose Carol Miller of Liberty, KY; and Phyllis Dean of Junction City, KY

  • Two brothers: Phillip and James Hatfield both of Dunnville, KY
