Gary Stargel, 60, of Russell Springs, KY, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at his home. Memorial service for Gary Stargel will be 1pmCT, Wednesday, August 13, 2014, Liberty Baptist Church, 215 Wilson Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Greg Estes officiating. Visitation will be at 12:30pmCT, Wednesday at church. Burial in the New Friendship Cemetery.

He was born Friday, September 11, 1953 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Glen & Laura Long Stargel. He died Saturday, August 9, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • His son: Samuel Stargel, Columbia, KY

  • Five sisters: Joyce Wilson, Royce Smith, Linda Miller, all of Russell Springs, KY; Wanda Murray, Columbia, KY; and Pearl Crockett, Cincinnati, OH

  • Three brothers: Alpha Stargel, Louisville, KY; J.D. Stargel, Shepherdsville, KY; and Wayne Stargel, Columbia, KY
