Green Co. burglary suspect arrested after foot pursuit

Suspect is Adair County man. Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Sheriff Aaron Rainwater arrest suspect in Green County after suspects flees from 1999 Mazda after traffic stop on Cedar Grove Road. Sheriff Moss and Deputy Rainwater pursued and apprehended 37 year old Jesse Cross of Adair County, into wooded area and arrested him moments later. Cross was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail facing eight charges, with more charges forthcoming from the Green County Sheriff's Office. The ACSO was also assisted on scene by Green County Sheriff Robert Beard and Deputy Nick Paxton. More charges forthcoming from the Green County Sheriff's Office.

An Adair County man was arrested on August 8, 2014, on numerous charges after fleeing from a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.

Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Sheriff Aaron Rainwater were contacted by Green County Deputy Sheriff Adam Rainwater requesting assistance in locating a vehicle that was just involved in a burglary in Green County.



Deputy Aaron Rainwater located the vehicle on Cedar Grove Road and initiated a traffic stop. As the vehicle stopped 37 year old Jesse Cross jumped from the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.

Deputy Aaron Rainwater and Sheriff Harrison Moss pursued Cross into a wooded area and apprehended him moments later.

Numerous stolen items were located in the 1999 Mazda from which Cross fled.

Cross was taken to Westlake Regional Hospital where he was treated and released for injuries sustained during the foot pursuit. Cross was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
  1. Fleeing or evading police
  2. Disorderly conduct
  3. Resisting arrest
  4. Receiving stolen property under $500
  5. Carrying a concealed deadly weapon
  6. Possession of burglary tools
  7. Menacing
  8. Criminal Mischief
