Writer says improvements need to be made at Bypass & S KY 55

Comments re article 69002 Larry Smith Former colleague at WGRK wife are crash victims

Susan Rarey writes:
I work in the Industrial Park and saw the vehicles from this accident as I was returning from lunch. It's upsetting now to know that these two individuals were killed. There was another bad accident a few months ago at this very spot, luckily no one was killed at that time. I believe, however, that shortly after the bypass opened there was a fatal accident here (correct me if I'm wrong*) so now this is the same situation as the intersection of the bypass and Greensburg Rd. before they made improvements. Improvements need to be made at this intersection. More warning signs, bigger stop signs with flashing lights and rumble strips in the eastbound lane. So sad this couple lost their lives and my heart goes out to their family. - Susan Rarey
*Fatal accident at KY 55 S & Bypass? - Does anyone else recall? Please let us know. - CM
