Travel Alert: I65 Southbound - Crash/delays likely (Hart County) By Chris Jessie ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (3:13CT/4:13ET, Friday, August 8, 2014) - I-65 Southbound is closed at mile point 71, Bonnieville, KY due to a crash. Closure is expected to last 2+ hours. Motorists should consider exiting I65 at Etown (exit 91), Glendale (exit 86) or Sonora (exit 81) to US 31W and continue south. Due to the increased volume along US 31W, local traffic should use additional caution, especially at intersecting roads. Another option for motorists traveling through on I65 is exit 91 onto Western Kentucky Parkway to Natcher Parkway and rejoin southbound I65 in Bowling Green. Exit 91 to Hodgenville and then south on US 31E is another alternate route. Updates will be posted/delivered until the crash scene is clear. - Chris Jessie, the author, is Public Information Officer, KY Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY.
