Ralph Roy Waggener: Wants police to monitor cell phone usage By Ralph Roy Waggener Personal opinion We have a Columbia Police Dept, I think, that could monitor the vehicles coming on to the square from Jamestown Street. This seems to be the place where cars and pickup trucks with drivers with a cell phone at their ear come onto the square without looking left at 40 to 50 miles an hour. The Kentucky State Police do studies of most dangerous places to drive and patrol these areas more. A few tickets for speeding won’t hurt anything, and might give the police something to do in there slow time. Just my opinion for what it’s worth. - RALPH ROY WAGGENER PS: I still am against making Burkesville Street, a single lane and would like to see more dividing white lines on the pavement signage!
