Suspect lodged in Adair County Juvenile Detention Center Click on headline for complete story By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - An Adair County teen has been arrested and charged with Assault 3rd Degree - Police Officer, Robbery 2nd Degree, Fleeing/Evading Police on foot, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Burglary Tools and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. Tpr. Daniel Stephens was assisting the Adair County Sheriff's Department with a Robbery investigation when he saw a male juvenile, walking on Liberty Road, who fit the description of the robbery suspect. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspect resisted arrest when he was apprehended. Tpr. Stephens sustained minor injuries and was checked by EMS but not transported for additional treatment. The juvenile was lodged in the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center.
