Wet-Dry Election: Organizer requests turn in of signed petitions

He needs them in hand immediately

Paul Carter, organizer of the Wet-Dry election petition, is asking that anyone in possession of signed petitions turn them in immediately. "We need to know where we stand at this point," he said. Carter said that additional names may be added after this initial turn-in, but he wants to make sure that the rights of all those who have already signed are protected. He said that his group will continue accepting signatures right up to the last minute for a buffer in case any of the signatures are invalidated after they are turned in to the county court clerk. He asked to be contacted at 270-384-1650 to arrange turn-ins.
