Phillip Richardson Bartley, age 74, of Glasgow, died at his home, August 4, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 will continue after 7amCT on Thursday at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 11amCT at the funeral home, with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

He was born Sunday, November 26, 1939, in Beaumont, Metcalfe County, KY. He was a son of the late Jack and Opal Shelley Bartley. He died August 4, 2014, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and eight days.

He was retired from SKF in Glasgow, KY.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Benita Bartley, Franklin, KY

  • One son: Chris (Brenda) Bartley, Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Marjorie, (Curtis, Jr.) Shelley, Glasgow, KY

  • Three brothers: Daryl (Sharon) Bartley, Summer Shade, KY; Gary (Brenda) Bartley, Eighty Eight, KY; and Morris (Tammy) Bartley, Glasgow, KY

  • One grandchild: Moriah Bartley

  • and by the mother of his children, Linda Bartley, Glasgow, KY
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Bartley. Send a condolence to the family of Phillip Richardson Bartley
