George E. Owens, 86, of Windsor, KY, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral service for George E. Owens will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Duane Owens officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET, Sunday, July 27, 2014. Burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Special music will be rendered by the Ricky Owens family.

Active Pallbearers: Ryan Clements, Tim Owens, Greg Owens, Gary Burton, Michael Godby, and Willard Owens.

Honorary Pallbearers: Brent Clements, Cameron Clements, Arlin Godby, Keith Owens, Scott Owens, Ward Brockman, Charles Grider, Kenny Foley

He was born September 15, 1927 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Willard & Ella Vida Owens. He died Friday, July 25, 2014, in Windsor, KY, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

He was a window/door installer-construction worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Lorene Roberts Owens: brothers, Linville Owens, Edwin Owens, Ozias Owens, Decatur Owens; and sister, Dorneth Burton.

Survivors include:
  • One sister: Valeria Owens Godby, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Seth (Margaret) Owens, Windsor, KY
