COLUMBIA, KY- Lindsey Wilson wrestling head coach Corey Ruff announced the addition of 13 student-athletes for the 2014-15 season on Friday, July 18, 2014.

"This is without a doubt our best recruiting class to date and easily the most credentialed one we've ever had," Ruff said. "These guys will enhance our team chemistry and that's not something you ever expect from a freshman class."

The 2014-15 class boasts three wrestlers with multiple state championships including 12 grapplers that qualified for state competition during their high school careers.

"We have a plethora of grit with this class. They hate to lose and work hard to ensure that it does not happen," Ruff said. "They are team leaders, good students, high character individuals and we are very proud of them already."

James Flint joins Lindsey Wilson from Brandon, FL, where he was a four-time state champion. He posted a 240-15 career record at Brandon High School including a perfect 34-0 mark his senior season. He is a two-time National High School Coaches Association All-American and two-time Fargo Greco-Roman All-American. Flint garnered multiple awards and honors at Brandon and is ranked No. 14 at 126 pounds by Wrestling USA Magazine. He will compete at the 125 pound weight class.

"He is going to transition to college competition with ease and he brings a gamer mentality," Ruff said. "We are very excited to see just how much of an impact he can make as a true freshman."

Michael Pixley comes to Lindsey Wilson from Blue Springs High School in Missouri, where he was a two-time undefeated state champion. Pixley was a 2013 Junior Freestyle National Champion and 2012 Cadet Freestyle National Champion as well as the 2012 Cadet Greco-Roman national runner-up. He was recently named to the 2014 Wrestling USA Magazine Dream Team at 195 pounds. Pixley is expected to compete at the 184 pound weight class for the Blue Raiders.

"Pixley has the capability to be very successful as a true freshman. He's strong in every position," Ruff said. "Michael has wrestled at high levels of competition so he is used to dealing with pressure, and he's used to winning under it."

Chico Adams attended Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis, Ind., where he was a two-time undefeated state champion. He holds a 154-8 career record and placed eighth at the state championships his sophomore year. He was named the "Wrestler of the Year" in 2008 by the Indy Star, an Indianapolis based newspaper. Adams will compete at the 285 pound weight class.

"The preseason will be very important for Chico," Ruff explained. "Once he gets his footwork and timing down, he could make a huge impact for us this year. He's a mature leader and will be a great mentor to this freshman class."

Daniel Leonard comes to Lindsey Wilson from Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, OR, where he went 16-12 as a redshirt freshman. Before attending Clackamas, Leonard was a three-time state-place winner and two-time state finalist for Sherwood High School in Oregon. He posted a 37-6 record as a junior and a 39-3 mark as a senior. He is a three-time Northwest Oregon Conference District Champion and earned the NWOC Outstanding Wrestler Award twice.

"Leonard has the most experience at 141 pounds. He's going to help us fill a big void at that position," Ruff said. "He comes from a great program and is capable of doing some big things for us the next three years."

Jozsa went undefeated in dual meets during his high school career and broke the Illinois state record for technical falls in a season with 34. The previous record was 27. Jozsa will compete at the 141 pound weight class.

"Jozsa is really talented and dedicated to the sport. He can score a lot of points and he's tough to take down," Ruff said. "I'm expecting him to come in and challenge for a varsity singlet right away."

Evan Loe attended Peru High School in Indiana where he was a four-time conference, sectional and regional champion. He was a two-time semi-state runner-up and semi-state champion, taking fourth place his senior year. Loe is a two-time state-place winner and holds a 167-20 career record. He will compete at the 149 pound weight class.

"Loe is another true freshman with the potential to help right away," Ruff said. "He has a lot of intangible characteristics that champions possess."

He became the first student in American Heritage history to earn a wrestling scholarship. Moser will compete at the 133 pound weight class.

"Moser is very new to the sport and he absolutely loves it. He wants to be the best and works very hard to get there," Ruff said. "He brings a great attitude to everything he does and learns incredibly fast."
