Albany, KY minister faces rape/sodomy charges in Taylor Co., KY

The Campbellsville Police Department today (Thursday July 17, 2014) initiated the investigation of Rape and Sodomy of an elderly female.



On Thursday July 17, 2014, the Campbellsville Police Department received a call from an elderly female reporting she had been raped and sodomized. (Note: this agency does not release the names of sexual assault victims).

Officers responded and initiated an investigation. Evidence was retrieved at the residence where this occurred and the identity of the perpetrator.

Later in the day, after medical examinations of the victim and suspect, Officers arrested Jimmy H. Mason; w/m; age 71; 9137 Hwy 558; Albany, KY. It was learned that Mason - who Pastors the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church near the Larue and Taylor County border - had befriended the victim and served as her caregiver.

Mason was charged with Rape First Degree and Sodomy First Degree and lodged in the Taylor County Jail. Campbellsville 911, 125 W First Street, Campbellsville, KY.
